G is for Fairy Gokmother

Hi All!

We’re visiting our alphabet today, and we had to dedicate it to the man who makes fashion a weekly pleasure.

With the return of his clothes road show, fashion life is worth living again!

So today’s letter is dedicated to every girl who needs in their life a fairy Gok Mother, Mr Gok Wan…

We managed to track down this great video in which he talks about hot hemlines, the type of dresses and skirt lengths and styles that are suitable for specific frames. What we particularly love is his constant use of real size models, and as usual creates obtainable style- genius!

Max C London Selections: Rouched Sleeve Tunic Dress

Hi Everyone!

We haven’t done a post like this in long time so we’d thought we’d get straight to it!

The Max C London team have designed three ways to maxCmise your wardrobe, so today we will show you how to style the rouche sleeve tunic dress

Winter Demure

1.Max C London Tap Lock Clutch, £22; 2. Belted Maxi Skirt, £18 Ebay; 3. Cork Screw Court Shoes, £54 Schuh 4. Max C London Rouched Sleeve Tunic Dress, £42

The great thing about a tunic dress is that it is extremely versatile, wear it as a dress or a top the choice yours! Maxi skirts were a must have all summer, so take it with into the winter months and give it an awesome autumn look. Tuck the dress into the skirt and emphasise those waists with a skinny belt, the rouched sleeve detail in the dress is great for balancing out perfect pear shapes. Teamed with our on trend box shaped tap lock clutch bag and playful cork screw  court shoes that we spotted on online shoe store Shuh, it gives a playful twist to a rather sophisticated outfit.

Born Free

1. Max C London Sprinkled Skulls Paula Bag, £42; 2. Crochet Waistcoat, £24 Ebay; 3.Leather Leggings 4.Abigail’s 3rd party heels, Irregular Choice, £84.99; 5. Max C London Rouched Sleeve Tunic Dress, £42

This look is all about the edge (we sure love our edge) with fetish  (formerly known as gothic glam) a big winter trend, indulge with a pair of adaptable leather or wet look leggings. The rouched tunic dress combined with the adorable ankle boots from Irregular Choice gives the look a super sweet finish alongside our gothic sprinkled skull bag.

Rainbow Wonder

1. Max C London Pippa Clutch, £38; 2.Waterfall Jacket; 3.Cassini Coral, £220; 4.Purple Leggings, 5. Max C London Rouched Sleeve Tunic Dress, £42

Colour blocking is here to stay this season so make it work in winter by introducing bright leggings into your fashion palette. The key to colour blocking is securing the right type of contrast, the safest way to do this is to make sure there is at least one colour that coordinates in the top and bottom of your outfit.

Which look do you love? Are there any trends you cannot wait to wear this winter?

MaxCmum Look a Like: Kristen Stewart

We’re starting to really like Twilight actress Kristen Stewart’s style of late. Armed with a pretty face , sometimes all you need is an equally pretty dress, and looks like we at Max C London have just the thing at a quarter of the designer price…
